A few years back, we were knocking at Universities’ doors with a clear determination set in mind: to bring their valuable research into the market. Back then, this was an eager dream. Right now, it is a proven reality. And what an upwards journey it has been.
Edition past edition we have only grown in support, applicants and startups. As a matter of fact, the next edition will welcome 5 extra teams (15 in total) to join our ever-increasing goals of excellence in technology transfer.
The 2019-20 edition was formally presented a few days ago by Àngels Chacón, the Catalan minister of Business and Knowledge. Among the novelties, we announced a renewed programme structure with 2 more balanced stages, inspirational sessions with star entrepreneurial figures (Atrapalo, Let’s Bonus, BitBrain, etc.) and workshops from renowned Silicon Valley professors (Jerry Engel).
Nevertheless, the true protagonists of the launch event were no other than the technologies; the 15 finalist projects represented by their proud researchers and Universities. And they had a fair reason to be satisfied: they were the top applicants among dozens in our territory chosen by The Collider’s scientific committee.
