Who we are
The Collider is Mobile World Capital Barcelona’s dedicated tech transfer program that supports scientific and innovative projects in their transition from the lab to the market
Through its multiple initiatives, The Collider works with ecosystem agents to strengthen technology transfer mechanisms in Catalonia, Spain, and Europe, facilitating the consolidation of scientific-technological startups.
The ultimate mission of the program is to reduce the gap between science and the market through technology transfer in order to respond to the challenges posed by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and an increasingly globalized and technified society.
Today, we are the Venture Builder of reference in Europe. We are backed by our track record in supporting technology transfer from Barcelona, the quantity and quality of the projects that have passed through The Collider, as well as the level of satisfaction and loyalty achieved in our programme. This has led us to become a key player on an international level, promoting programmes such as T2M of the European Innovation Council (EIC) or forming part of the EIT Manufacturing.
What we do
From Mobile World Capital Barcelona we want to help build new technology transfer mechanisms and support the creation of scientific-technological startups that positively impact the competitiveness and sustainability of the future
We create high-performance teams and accompany them in the market launch of their new disruptive companies.
Which is why we believe in the combined potential of scientific researchers and serial entrepreneurs.
• They are general-purpose technologies with the potential to disrupt markets: AI, Quantum, Cell Therapy and Genomics, Hydrogen, etc.
• They have the capacity to solve social challenges of common interest: sustainability, circularity; and health.
• Their market access generates positive externalities: skilled jobs, reindustrialization of regions and technological sovereignty.
